Important information about using our calculators

Last updated: August 2026

General guidance only

This website provides general guidance only and does not constitute professional financial, legal, or tax advice.

Estimates Only

All calculations on wagecheck are estimates based on 2026/27 HMRC guidance published at the time of writing. Tax rates, thresholds and allowances can change at any time — for example, in a Budget or Autumn Statement. We aim to update our rates promptly when changes are announced, but there may be a delay between an announcement and our updates going live.

Your actual take-home pay may differ from our estimates due to factors not covered by our calculators, such as company benefit-in-kind taxation, court-ordered deductions, or HMRC coding notice adjustments.

Not Professional Advice

wagecheck is a free educational tool, not a regulated financial adviser or accountant. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, tax advice or any other form of professional advice. You should not rely on the results of our calculators as the sole basis for any financial decision.

If you need advice specific to your circumstances, consult a qualified accountant, tax adviser or financial planner who can consider your individual situation.

Accuracy

We verify our calculations against HMRC published rates and test them with known salary figures. However, we cannot guarantee that every calculation is free from error, nor that it applies correctly to every individual circumstance.

If you find an error in any of our calculators, please contact us at hello@wagecheck.co.uk so we can investigate and correct it.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, wagecheck accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the information provided by our calculators. This includes but is not limited to direct, indirect, incidental or consequential losses.

By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read this disclaimer and agree to its terms.
